TIH Homes is a Kingdom-based Company where Steve & Renee McKenzie offer their combined homebuilding and design experience in the construction of quality, single family residential homes, light commercial offices, condominiums and multi-family townhomes.

The mission set forth by this team is one of quality, craftsmanship, and value, specializing in customer service while dealing with their clients and homeowners.

Steve, with over 33 years of experience, started his building career in 1983 in Houston Texas. In 1987 Steve relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he has continued building quality homes throughout the metro area.

Coupling a rock-solid base of homebuilding experience since 1983 with strong Christian values and principles, the company has chosen to move beyond just building homes. It has adopted a “Ministry” attitude through spearheading efforts in community and church outreach programs.

Steve copy2Steve McKenzie also served as Cherokee County Chapter President of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association for 1994 & 2000. He was awarded Eagle Watch Builder of the Year and also Builder of the year in 1999 for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders. In 2002, Steve McKenzie was awarded Builder of the year for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Cherokee Chapter.

Steve, an entrepreneur, has trained leaders and managers in all aspects of land development, single family residential construction, multi-family construction and light commercial office building. Throughout his career, quality, craftsmanship and value have been his top priorities.

Steve excels in the ability to train successful business and ministry leaders around the world. His accomplishments are vast and have been realized in every aspect of the building industry as well as in ministry work which has produced the construction of churches, schools and waterwells locally, nationally and internationally.

Steve has a “systems” mindset which has enabled him to produce residential and commercial construction manuals as well as employee handbooks for the construction industry. Ministry leaders bring their dreams to life through the valuable resources that Steve has produced and implemented. Steve’s work has been a blessing that has been recognized in many parts of the world.

renee2Renee McKenzie has an extensive and distinctive career in exterior and interior design, photography and customer relations. With over 25 years of experience, she has become a leader in the design field. The color schemes she has used, both inside and outside of the new homes, is innovative and has been copied by many other builders. Entire communities have used her ideas, as she has a keen eye for putting colors together for interior and exterior as well as flooring, cabinets, counter tops and tile. She is not afraid to introduce new ideas and loves to watch them spread. She is most definitely a “trendsetter” throughout the Cherokee and Cobb county area. Renee also heads Trusttwo Designs and TIH Ministries.

Working at TIH. Homes, she manages all the selections for the new homes and new home buyers, all of the buyer introduction walk through’s, rewalk’s and warranty service.

As an active supporter of our community TIH Homes has been involved in many other projects, some include:

  • Cherokee County Children’s Advocacy Center
  • Blue Ridge Animal Shelter
  • Marietta Scout Hut
  • Extreme Home Makeover
  • The Hope Center

Using their Gifts and Talents for Various Renovation Projects, Renee’ and Steve have also spearheaded efforts to save the Rosecreek Library by starting the “first Alliances for Libraries”. They have raised money to support the renovations at the “Iglesia de Cristiana’s de Monte De Zion (Mount Zion Christian Church) in Canton, Ga”. Also included in their long list of community outreach efforts, TIH. Homes has provided support to the “Must” Ministries Labor Center.

Their passion to do God’s work has lead them to various Para Church groups where they are involved in mission outreach programs. Steve and Renee’ have a heart to help those who are elderly, disabled & handicapped. Their love for God’s people has lead them to start “TIH Ministries” which is a non-profit organization available to those with construction and home maintenance needs.

TIH Homes is proud to be an active member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.  Steven Mckenzie is recognized as a Certified Professional Homebuilder and is also IRC Code certified.
